Everything Happens For A Reason

by - 21:16

Just a warning: this post is not a masterpiece, I literally wrote it in 20 minutes.

I haven't blogged in a while and the reason being, my life has been hectic. I've been through so many changes that I honestly don't even know where to begin. I guess all you need to know is that 2018 is turning out to be one of the best years of my life, and it's only going to continue getting better.

In the space of 3 months, I've gotten out of a long-term, bad relationship, I've finally found work again after two whole years of being unemployed, I've moved out with my brother into our own flat and I've found a new, happy relationship. We're only half way through the year and I already feel like a completely different person.

I have a friend who swears by the phrase "everything happens for a reason." The whole idea behind it is that everything is kinda pre-planned and that every single thing that happens, good or bad, will lead to something else that's already been decided. Until recently, that sounded like utter bullshit to me, but with everything that's been going on in my life, I can't help but feel like it's true.

At the beginning of this year I was unemployed and losing my hope in ever finding anything. I was in a relationship with someone that, yes, I still loved but deep down I knew it wasn't right for either of us. I was miserable. Six months on and I can hand-on-heart say I am the happiest I have ever been.

Every single day I have felt so blessed and grateful to have the life that I do. I feel like I now know what true happiness feels like and it's indescribable. Everything is finally falling into place and I never thought I would be able to say that.

It all started when I took charge of my life, and I made a courageous decision to leave my past relationship. That was one of the toughest things I've ever had to do but it's ended in me being so happy and finding something that I never thought I would.

All I'm saying is that, if you're going through something right now, believe that things will get better. But you can either sit around and wait for something to save you or you can start making your own changes now. Take it from someone who was going through one of the worst years of her life last year and look at me now, everything really does happen for a reason and you'll be saved one day.

In regards to blogging, I will be starting again from today. I have sooo many ideas for new posts but if there's anything that you really want to see then please let me know. I think my schedule may change slightly with me working full-time, so I might end up posting Saturday/Sunday morning instead of Friday mornings (but I haven't quite decided yet).

Remember to follow me on Twitter & Instagram if you want to take part in polls and help me decide on what post to write that week!

I'm so excited to start this new chapter. I hope you are too.

Thank you.
