2017 Favourites | BLOGMAS

Welcome to Blogmas day 11! As the year is drawing to a close, I would like to talk about a few of my favourite things throughout 2017. Makeup, music, bloggers, the lot!

It'll come as no surprise to anyone that this year I have absolutely fallen in love with quite a few products, but picking my top faves was easy! Starting off with best contour I've ever had, the Makeup Geek Contour Powder in Breakup has been my everyday essential. I genuinely can't imagine going without it for a long time.

Next up, 2017 for me has been a year of Jeffree! His whole makeup brand is incredible, but I've conjured up a little sweet spot for his Velour Liquid Lipsticks. I've started to grow a little collection, by next year I hope it turns into a pretty big collection!

And don't even get me started on the Modern Renaissance palette, I'm sure you know the deal with that!

Picking a top movie for this year has been tricky. 2017 has blessed us with some incredible cinematic experiences. But in the end, I had to choose IT. Not only do I adore the original film, but this one made me feel a way that the original didn't...scared.

Stephen King is one of the best writers of all time and his work has also produced some of the most legendary movies of all time, Carrie is still to this day one of my favourite horror films. But the original IT never scared me, the new one did. I loved everything about the film, the cast, the directing, the way they changed up Pennywise's character to make him seem more terrifying to the new audiences. It's a masterpiece from start to finish!

I couldn't just pick one album from the year, so I chose two! Sam Smith - The Thrill Of It All & Tokio Myers - Our Generation. Both very different artists, both talented in very different ways, but both make me feel the exact same way. Sam's voice and songwriting is always on point, always a dream to listen to, and his new album is no exception. My favourite songs are Palace, HIM & Burning.

Tokio Myers is the most recent winner of Britain's Got Talent, and you can bet that I was rooting for him all of the way! He's a classical artist with an electronic twist. I've always loved the sound of a piano, but the way he plays it is different. You can feel every bit of emotion that he puts into his work. I actually cried listening to him performing on BGT and I also cried listening to his album for the first time. My favourite songs are Angel, Limitless & Polaroid.

JackieJackieJackieJackie...JackieJackieJackie! (If you're subbed to her, you'll understand). Jackie Aina has been a Godsend to me this year. She's hilarious, ridiculously talented with a makeup brush and, best of all, she stands up and fights for what she believes in.

Her videos aren't just something to pass the time, they're a lesson, and that's what I love about her! If you're not subscribed, then you should probably be ashamed of yourself tbh.

This year I've gotten to know a lot of new bloggers (all of them amazing), but there has been absolutely no question as to who has been my favourite! I chose Amy from The Auburn Agenda.

This girl is one in a million! Beautiful and kind, talented and funny. Her blog posts are always interesting to read and her photography could win awards it's that good! I've gotten to know Amy a little bit throughout this year and I can genuinely say that she is one of the nicest girls I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. She's made me feel a part of the community and I thank her for that. If you haven't seen her before, check out her blog and socials, you won't be disappointed!
