My Favourite Autumn/Winter Lipsticks

by - 18:00

Hello again! I haven't blogged in just over a month now, and I finally feel like I can get back into it. Thank you for letting me take this time off and thank you to those who have been so supportive of me.  I'm back! My schedule will resume as normal (a new blog post every Friday at 6pm).

Today I really wanted to talk about my favourite Autumn/Winter lipsticks. Lipstick is probably my favourite makeup product (no seriously, it's an addiction), and Autumn & Winter are my favourite seasons, put them both together and you have a very happy Caitlin. Here are my favourite lipsticks to wear throughout Autumn/Winter (or just all year round, but ya know).

1. Rimmel Kate Moss - 107

Ah the 'Zoella famous' lipstick, 107. If you haven't heard of this lipstick, then where have you been? It's the perfect berry shade, and it's STUNNING. I love the formula of Rimmel lipsticks, they have great pigment, they're long wearing and they feel soooo comfortable on the lips. Next time you're in a Superdrug, just give them a little swatch.

2. Mac Viva Glam - Ariana

I'm not entirely sure whether this lipstick is still available anymore, but I'm still going to mention it because of how beautiful it is. Now, I may be a tad bias because I love Ariana with all my heart and soul and I fall in love with everything that she makes, but this lipstick is life. It's a very dark and daring matte wine; not going to lie, I feel like a bad-ass wearing this. It's such a bold lip that you almost feel like a....dangerous woman ;) (hahahahaha get it?).

3. Rimmel Kate Moss - 30

Definitely overshadowed by it's friend 107, 30 is a foxy forgotten treasure that I never hear about on the internet. The shade is very similar to 107, but with a little more magenta thrown into the mix. If you think that 107 is just that little bit too dark or too red for you, perhaps try out 30 over here.

4. Mac - Whirl

I know what you're thinking, "wait, Caitlin, this isn't red?!", I know it isn't red; not all Autumn/Winter lipsticks have to be red, sometimes it's nice to have a nude thrown in there. Mac Whirl is an elegant dirty rose shade, it has that perfect balance between being brown and rosy pink. If you want to hop on board to the brown lipstick trend, but you're looking for something more natural and not too daring, Whirl would be a terrific option.

5. Rimmel Kate Moss - 10

Another Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick, oh no. I chose this one because I think it is the perfect knockout red with a very very slight hint of orange undertones. Everyone needs a standard red in their collection and this is mine. Mine is actually in limited edition Red Nose Day packaging, but I believe you can buy the exact same shade in the normal range under the shade name 1.

6. Nyx Lip Lingerie - Teddy

I have to admit, when I first tried this lipstick, I didn't like it. I thought the applicator was way too long and awkwardly shaped & I thought the formula was too dry, but after trying it a couple of times, I FELL IN LOVE. I grew fond of the applicator and felt stupid of ever thinking that it was too dry, because it isn't. The formula is amazing for the price and it's definitely worth trying out. The shade Teddy is a mid-tone brown with a slight hint of a greyish undertone, but it's still really warm. Perfect for a walk in a park overrun with leaves.

7. Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit - Leo

If you read my blog then surely you'll know how much I love the formula of the Kylie Lip Kits, if you don't know, I have a review on them right here. Not only is this lipstick called Leo (after my star sign), but it's literally me in a lipstick tube. Maroon colours are quite possibly my favourite lipstick shades of all time and this is such a stunning colour that I have to stop myself from wearing it everyday. If you're looking for that perfect Winter red/deep crimson shade and you don't mind spending that little bit extra, I highly recommend this!

And that's it for my favourite Autumn/Winter lipsticks! Write in the comments below what your favourite lipsticks are right now, I would love to hear some recommendations. Thank you so much for reading. If you liked this post, please make sure to share and follow! I would also appreciate it if you followed me on all of my social media. Thank you.
